The board will meet on the fifth Thursday of the month, March 31.
The Park Ridge Zoning Board of Appeals will meet tomorrow, on the fifth Thursday of March, due to spring break and the Easter holiday.
The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. on March 31 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 505 Butler Place.
The board will review the appeal and variance requests placed before it. Citizens may also speak regarding non-agenda items.
At the previous meeting, on Feb. 25, the board heard City Attorney Julie Tappendorf's explanation of the statute regarding the appeal at 916 N. Western Ave. The board is required to provide a written explanation to the property owners, Joseph and Margaret Solomon. This allows them to file an appeal with the Circuit Court. The board agreed to approve the written decision for the appeal.
The board also heard a variance for 741 Florence Drive on Feb. 28. The applicant wanted to divide the property into two smaller buildable lots. The interior lot would conform to code; however, the corner lot would be slightly smaller than code allows. Currently, the property comprises one zoning parcel, although it is considered two tax lots. The board approved the variance in a 5-2 vote.
The next meeting of the board is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on April 28.
