Budget planning is set to begin at the upcoming Prospect Heights Budget Workshop.
City officials will meet at 8:30 a.m. tomorrow, Feb. 27, at City Hall, located at 8 N. Elmhurst Road.
City officials, staff and the public will hear the spending plan for the new fiscal year, which runs from May 1 to April 30, 2017. The workshop will focus on projected expenditures and revenues for the general fund and other main funds. The city's reserves and capital projects will also be discussed during the workshop.
Residents of Prospect Heights will be invited to comment on the projected budget during the workshop.
No action will be taken on the budget at the workshop. It will only present the expected expenditures and revenues, funds and other items for discussion by the attendees. The Prospect Heights City Council will approve the 2016-17 budget before the new fiscal year begins on May 1.
The next regular council meetings are scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on March 28 and April 25.
