Tomorrow's meeting of the Strategic Plan Advisory Commission features an update on the citizen survey.
City Manager Sean Stegall will present a citizen survey update to the City of Elgin Strategic Plan Advisory Commission at 6 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 9.
The meeting will be held in the first floor conference room at City Hall.
The survey focused on citizens' satisfaction with city services, including public safety. It also sought information to help the city with its strategic planning and improve overall services. The survey was conducted by the ETC Institute and included questions specific to Elgin and its citizens. A cover letter and survey were mailed to each household, and follow-up phone calls were made by ETC Institute employees to encourage citizens to respond to the mailing. Citizens could also take the survey online.
In addition, the commission will hear reports and updates on various boards and commissions, followed by a discussion of 2016 topics. Public input will be heard under new business.
The commission is made up of 13 members: Bill Briska, Judith DiFulvio, Armida Dominquez, Dustin Good, Steve Knight, Todd Martin, Jeanette Mihalec, Dan Miller, Carolyn O’Neal, Sara Sabo and Dennis Verges. The members' five-year terms end in 2017.
