The Schaumburg Zoning Board of Appeals will discuss Sleepy's mattress store and other cases at its upcoming meeting.
Sleepy's mattress store at 2 W. Golf Road is on the agenda for the upcoming meeting of the Schaumburg Zoning Board of Appeals at 7 p.m. tomorrow.
The applicant is seeking the site plan approval and landscape variations. The board will also review the Woodfield Regional Center design guidelines and a letter from a local business owner regarding the location of the mattress store.
The board will consider Tasty Nihari's move from a standalone building to a 1,000-square-foot tenant space in Corinium Plaza Shopping Center. The proposed restaurant will change from a sit-down dining experience to carry-out and catering only. While the restaurant would change from a Type C to a Type B restaurant, it will continue to provide Indian cuisine.
Solar energy systems are also on the agenda. The board will discuss and consider an amendment to the municipal code that would update the section on solar energy systems to reflect industry standards.
The board of appeals will review and discuss the unauthorized tree removal from the vacant lot at 700 W. Lunt Ave. Three dead trees and 15 invasive trees were removed; however, 34 healthy trees were also removed. The applicant is appealing the penalty and required plant replacements.
After the board reviews all the cases and takes action as needed, the meeting will be adjourned.
