Northbrook holds joint meeting to hear reports from taxing districts

The Northbrook Economic Development Committee and the Industrial & Commercial Development Commission met on Jan. 13.

The Northbrook Economic Development Committee and the Industrial & Commercial Development Commission met on Jan. 13.

Reports from taxing districts were heard Jan. 13 at the joint meeting of the Northbrook Economic Development Committee (EDC) and the Industrial & Commercial Development Commission (ICDC).

The group discussed the impact of the state's actions and inactions on the various taxing districts. Comments from the audience were invited.

The group also heard and discussed requests for several items, including the Cook County Class 6b classifications for the new construction at 3200 Arnold Lane, an abandoned building at 3411 Woodhead Drive and the 445 Academy Drive property.

Continuing village support for the Chicago North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce and Industry was also discussed.

After hearing old and new business, the next meetings of the two groups were announced. The ICDC will meet on Jan. 26, and EDC will meet on April 13.
