Dave Wall reported on investment performance -- including the sale and purchase of securities -- at the Village of Buffalo Grove Police Pension Board meeting on Jan. 12.

The board also reviewed and considered adjustments to its investment policy.

The board heard updates and reviewed a number of annual items, such as cost of living adjustments (COLA), examinations for disabled police officers under age 50 and verification of eligibility for beneficiaries. The board reviewed the necessity of elections or appointments of new members.

Rick Reimer gave the board an update on legal issues. The board then heard a review regarding ethics, fiduciary duty and investment training. The board made arrangements to obtain the predatory lending certification forms from Illinois banks.

Under new business, the board discussed Officer Sepot's service transfer and the Lauren Greenwood contribution refund. The interview for the fixed income manager was also discussed.

The next quarterly meeting of the Police Pension Board is scheduled for April 12. Members of the public who would like to attend the meeting and require reasonable accommodations in order to attend or participate in the proceedings are asked to contact the village's ADA coordinator at 847-459-2525.
