Lisa Gilbert has been promoted to second in command at the SBA.
The Schaumburg Business Association (SBA) promoted Lisa Gilbert to vice president of membership last week.
The primary duties of Gilbert's new position will be retaining and increasing membership. She will also be second in command over the association's eight-person staff.
"Lisa has truly earned the trust of the staff, and I think the addition of a vice president for the association is coming at the right time for the organization," SBA President Kaili Harding said. "She's shown tremendous leadership which has shown this past year, which the SBA had tremendous growth."
The SBA recruited a record number of new members in 2015. The blend of corporate, commercial, retail, service and industrial businesses in the SBA's membership has led to unique opportunities in networking and building a dynamic business community in the Schaumburg area.
Gilbert joined the SBA in 2013. Previously, she was the membership director at the University Club of Chicago. Gilbert graduated from Indiana University and obtained her Masters in Arts, Entertainment and Media Management from Columbia College. She and her husband, Colin Gilbert, are owners of the Tuscan Market and Wine Shop in Arlington Heights.
