The Prospect Heights Police Pension Board will hold a public hearing for Joseph Whowell at 2 p.m. Tuesday to hear the city's motion to dismiss.
The board may then move to a closed session to deliberate. After reopening the public hearing, the board will further discuss and possibly act on the dismissal motion.
The board will then hold its regular meeting at 4 p.m. to discuss 2016 cost of living (COLA) increases. The board will also discuss the need for the election and/or reappointment of the elected and appointed trustees.
The board also will discuss scheduling for annual examinations for disabled firefighters and police officers who are under age 50 and review annual verifications of eligibility for beneficiaries.
The board will also review and update contracts with various vendors, including accountants, attorneys and investment managers. Bills being presented to the board will include Richard Reimer Pension Board legal counsel for $1,500 and Recording Secretary Karen Schulthesis for the January quarterly meeting for $125.
