Buffalo Grove public hearings are scheduled at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The public hearings for 1167 Green Knolls and electronic cigarette and tobacco stores are on the agenda for the Buffalo Grove Planning and Zoning Commission.
The 1167 Green Knolls public hearing has a request by the petitioner and Village staff to continue to the Jan. 20 meeting of the commission. The petitioner has requested a variation on the front yard coverage for a driveway.
The public hearing for the e-cigarettes and tobacco stores will be opened; however, there is a request by staff to continue the hearing to Jan. 20. Village staff needs additional time to research the various issues, regarding electronic cigarettes. Because e-cigarettes are still a relatively new product, state and local governments are still working on regulations regarding sales.
After closing the public hearing, the commission will move on to other planning and zoning matters for discussion and hear reports from the chairman, committee and liaison and staff. The future agenda schedule will be announced and discussed. The public will also be invited to comment, share concerns and ask questions regarding planning and zoning issues.
