Buffalo Grove Board of Fire and Police Commissioners to meet, discuss testing and promotional processes

The Village of Buffalo Grove, Illinois Board of Fire and Police Commissioners will meet at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 4 to discuss testing and promotion processes.

After calling the meeting to order, and reviewing and approving the Dec. 1 meeting minutes, the board will hear the Chairman's Report. Under the Commissioners' Reports, the new polygraph vendor, Theordore Polygraph Service, will give the board a presentation.

The chiefs will provide reports on their departments, followed by questions from the audience. Members of the public may present comments or concerns regarding Village business affairs that are not on the agenda. Discussion is limited to 10 minutes and the board may refer comments to the Village manager, staff or other agency for review.

Under Old Business, the board will discuss the 2016 Firefighter/Paramedic testing process, the 2016 Police Lieutenant promotional process and the 2016 meeting calendar. The board will discuss the Firefighter/Paramedic candidate or candidates under New Business.

The board will then retire to an Executive Session to discuss the Firefighter/Paramedic candidate and other personnel matters. After returning from the Executive Session, the meeting will be adjourned.
