The Park Ridge, Illinois City Council is on track to approve a $10,560 purchase order for refuse cans.

The Park Ridge Committee of the Whole approved the action item at the Dec. 14 meeting, and sent the item forward to the Dec. 21 City Council meeting.

Park Ridge city staff put the purchase of 30 refuse cans for South Park, Arcade and the Prairie Lot out to bid. The new cans will replace damaged cans at the three locations. Each 32-gallon can is made of recycled plastic. The city received three quotes during the bidding process. The lowest quote was $352 per can, received from MaxR.

The replacement cans are budgeted in Ground Maintenance Materials. There are funds available for the purchase.

The item was up for approval as part of the consent agenda at the Dec. 21 council meeting. If approved, the 30 refuse cans will be purchased from MaxR of Sussex, Wisconsin.
