The Board of Fire and Police Commissioners of the Village of Wilmette, Illinois will meet in the Village Board Conference Room on the first floor of the Village Hall, 1200 Wilmette Ave., on Dec. 16, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
After hearing public comment, the board will review and approve the Sept. 29 meeting minutes. The board will authorize a promotion in the Fire Department, from Firefighter/Paramedic to Lieutenant/Paramedic.
After approving the promotion, the board will retire to an executive session to discuss the firefighter position, including potential employment and conditional offers for the position. The closed session is pursuant to Section 2(c) (1) of the Open Meetings Act, which allows closed meetings in regard to personnel matters.
After the board returns from the executive session, it will authorize the conditional employment offer for the firefighter position.
Other business may be heard by the commissioners before the meeting adjourns at 9 a.m.
