The Northbrook, Illinois Planning and Zoning Committee will meet on Dec. 15 at 3:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Board Room. After calling the meeting to order and calling for public comment, the committee will continue its review of the Anets Woods development at 1230 Voltz Rd.
At the Dec. 8 meeting, the discussion had to be continued due to time constraints. Many members of the public wished to speak and express their concerns and questions regarding the planned development of the property. The applicant, Edward R. James Partners LLC, had submitted a revised plan for the 34-unit single-family home development.
Among the concerns presented to the committee on Dec. 8 were: the housing density, access for emergency vehicles, restricted access, increased traffic on Voltz Road and the placement of the development entrance.
Since the Dec. 8 meeting, the applicant has further revised the plans to accommodate Village residents' concerns regarding the entrance to the development on Voltz Road. The applicant is also proposing a second entrance on Lee Road. The applicant has also clarified some issues with the tree impact fee.
At the Dec. 15 meeting, the applicant, Village traffic consultant and Village staff will be available to answer questions from the committee.
After the committee discusses the development and amendments, the meeting will be adjourned.
