The new Pier 1 Imports store officially opened its doors on November 3 at Woodfield Village Green shopping center in Schaumburg, Illinois.
Joining Victor Construction President Jeff Schuttler at the ribbon cutting ceremony were Business Development Director Sharon Kneip, Schaumburg Business Association (SBA) President Kaili Harding and several other SBA members.
The project required the interior demolition and rebuild of an existing unoccupied retail space by Victor Construction, the general contractor, and DDR Corporation, the property management company. Herschman Architects were in charge of the design and architecture. The redesign incorporated a new vestibule and entry with new doors and an exit ramp; new partitions; new flooring and new lighting.
Victor Construction and DDR Corporation also collaborated on an Old Navy store expansion at Woodfield Village Green earlier this year. In addition to remodeling and building new retail spaces, Victor Construction also works on educational facilities, hotels, offices and health-care offices, and industrial facilities including warehouses and distribution centers. DDR Corporation owns and manages retail properties across the U.S.
