Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi, representing Illinois' 8th district since 2017, recently shared his views on several issues through a series of tweets. His posts addressed concerns about federal budget cuts and the importance of workforce development in healthcare.

On February 18, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi expressed his disapproval of the Trump Administration's budget cuts to essential services. He stated, "I was proud to join my Congressional colleagues and representatives of Citizen Action/Illinois at the AIDS Foundation of Chicago this morning as we spoke out against the Trump Administration's brutal cuts to vital services upon which American seniors and working families depend."

Later that day, he tweeted about a discussion with Ali Velshi regarding congressional funding powers. On February 18, 2025, he noted, "On Sunday, I joined Ali Velshi to discuss the need for Congress to use its power of the purse to fight back against efforts by DOGE and the rest of the Trump Administration to cut funding for essential programs and vital public safety staff."

In another tweet from February 18, 2025, Congressman Krishnamoorthi highlighted his meeting with leaders from OSF Health Care and Peoria Community. He remarked on the importance of investing in workforce development programs by stating: "I was grateful for the opportunity to meet with leaders from OSF Health Care and the Peoria Community, including Mayor Ali, to discuss the investments we need to make in our workforce development programs to prepare today’s students for the health care careers of tomorrow."
