A. Discussion Regarding the Next Refuse & Recycling Franchise Agreement The Village currently contracts with Waste Management (WM) to provide refuse, recycling, and compost (organics and/or landscape waste) collection for all single-family and some multi-family properties within the Village of Northbrook. The current six year contract expires August 31, 2024 with the option of a one year contract extension, if required. This contract was entered into between the Village and Advanced Disposal, who was subsequently purchased by Waste Management, and was amended and assigned to Waste Management by the Village Board on October 26, 2021.
