Judson's Late Run Propels Eagles to Second Straight Conference Win With 82-77 Victory Over Calumet
The Judson Men's Basketball Team made the most of their Saturday as the Eagles took down Calumet College 82-77 on Saturday as the Eagles turned a six-point deficit into a five-point win in the final eight minutes of the contest. The Eagles have now won two straight games and are now .500 in conference play.
Javaris Wiggins led all Eagles with 19 points and added three rebounds, two assists, and a steal. Jack Keller was 8-15 from the field and added a three-pointer in a 17-point effort. He added seven rebounds and had two assists and a steal. Anterrious Rhyan scored 15 points, including going a perfect 5-5 from the line. He also recorded three rebounds and three assists. Bryton Bissainthe did a stellar job filling in for Thomas Donati on Saturday by scoring eight points and adding six boards, and three assists. He also made both of his three-point attempts. Leonard Wilson had a 10-point, four-rebound, two-steal day for Judson, while Trey Spires added eight points off the bench and had an important four assists for the Eagles that led the way to victory.
I was proud of the way our guys stayed the course and fought their way back to win today," said Head Coach Bruce Fields. "Getting stops down the stretch while taking care of the basketball were keys to pulling out the victory."
Judson (3-7, 3-3 CCAC) looks to extend the win streak to three on Friday when the Eagles host Grace Christian on Friday at 7:00 p.m. in a nonconference matchup.
