CALL TO ORDER

President Roth called the Public Hearing to Order at 6:17 p.m.

All those answering “present” were physically present at the meeting.

The purpose of this public hearing is for the Village Board to receive public comment in reference to the proposed 2022 Special Service Area #2 tax levy. The Special Service Area #2 (Oak Ridge Trails) property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $4,430. The proposed Special Service Area #2 (Oak Ridge Trails) property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $6,452. This represents a 45.6% increase over the previous year for mowing, bike path, invasive species management (sandbar willow and buckthorn), erosion control, fencing, and tree maintenance.

No written testimony was received; no one has signed in to give oral testimony.

Trustee Baumer moved to adjourn. Trustee Harper seconded the motion. A voice vote approved the adjournment. The Village Board adjourned the Public Hearing at 6:19 p.m.

All those answering “present” were physically present at the meeting.

The purpose of this public hearing is for the Village Board to receive public comment in reference to the proposed 2022 Special Service Area #7 tax levy. The Special Service Area #7 (Sherwood Forest) property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $6,022. The proposed Special Service Area #7 (Sherwood Forest) property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $8,771. This represents a 45.6% increase over the previous year for invasive species management (buckthorn), asphalt bike path, signage, and tree maintenance.

No written testimony was received; no one has signed in to give oral testimony.

Trustee Cecille moved to adjourn. Trustee Haque seconded the motion. A voice vote approved the adjournment. The Village Board adjourned the Public Hearing at 6:20 p.m.

The purpose of this public hearing is for the Village Board to receive public comment in reference to the proposed 2022 Special Service Area #9 tax levy. The Special Service Area #9 (Emerald Hills) property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $3,066. The proposed Special Service Area #9 (Emerald Hills) property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $7,443. This represents a 142.7% increase over the previous year for mowing, nuisance animals (beavers), split rail fence, and creek maintenance.

The Special Service Area #10 (Lakewood Streams) property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $3,114. The proposed Special Service Area #10 (Lakewood Streams) property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $7,558. This represents a 142.7% increase over the previous year for vegetation and tree maintenance, signage, and garbage pickup.

The proposed Special Service Area #11 (Prairie Point) property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $5,608. This represents a 142.7% increase over the previous year for bike path, tree maintenance, garbage pickup, split rail fencing, and nuisance animals (beavers).

This represents a 191.3% increase over the previous year for signage, vegetative and tree maintenance.

The Special Service Area #20 (Suncrest II) property taxes extended or abated for 2021 were $780. The proposed Special Service Area #20 (Suncrest II) property taxes to be levied for 2022 are $1,514. This represents a 94.2% increase over the previous year for asphalt bike path, treatment of detention ponds, tree maintenance, garbage pickup, invasive species management (sandbar willow and buckthorn).

This represents a 94.2% increase over the previous year for asphalt bike path, pond and tree maintenance, garbage pickup, invasive species management (sandbar willow and buckthorn), split rail fence, and erosion control.
