Awake Illinois is rallying parents prior to a planned speaking event Tuesday at Prospect High School in Mount Prospect.

“ATTN Arlington Heights parents: Calvin Terrell is speaking Nov. 29 at a school assembly on 'empathy and social awareness.' His social media tells you his agenda. @Moms4Liberty_IL @Moms4LibertyIL_," Awake Illinois said on Twitter.

The School District 214 promoted the event in Parent News.

“Tuesday, Nov. 29, Calvin Terrell will be speaking at an all school assembly.

Calvin's message focuses on empathy, kindness and cultural and social awareness. Mr. Terrell will also be holding an evening event for parents and community members on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Prospect KLC. We hope that you will join us,” the event announcement reads.

Terrell’s website describes him as a “coach, consultant, speaker and trainer” who among many other items of contention, focuses on “white supremacy and misogyny.”

“Calvin is founder/director of Social Centric Institute, a nonprofit he built to educate anyone and everyone to be healers of historical trauma around racial intersections, class, religion, gender and environmental disruption. For more than 25 years, Calvin has engaged every demographic throughout the U.S. in historical trauma healing processes. His approaches draw from many technologies that are colonial, decolonized and indigenous,” Terrell’s website notes.

Terrell’s social media in fact is full of white versus black rhetoric promoting stereotypes and more division among races.

“Again, black is merciful, forgiving and even helpful in the face hateful whiteness.  When black folk and non-whites stand up for our survival, hateful arrogant ignorant type of whites continue to shoot us down with bullets, words or legislation. The evil is clear. Blessings!” he notes in one tweet.  

Similarly, his Facebook page includes a recent anti-Thanksgiving rant.

"Thanksgiving is indoctrination. Thanksgiving is colonial propaganda. Thanksgiving sells genocide and white supremacy as familial moral virtuous traditions. Tell the truth to be better than history!” Terrell said on Facebook adding images of Native Americans being slaughtered by early European settlers.

In another post, Terrell vilifies political opponents in attempting to press the need for people to vote.

“Are you voting for old world sexism where women are treated like cattle and property? VOTE for JUSTICE for ALL, not bigoted fascists racists rapists religious zealots!” Terrell posted.
