Report: Fairview South School District spent $16,362 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Fairview South School District 72 was up 1.4 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $16,142 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $16,362 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 701 to 716 students over the same period.

Fairview South's spending in 2019-20 was 12.9 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
