Report: Prospect Heights School District spent $14,891 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Prospect Heights School District 23 was up 12 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $13,291 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $14,891 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 1,587 to 1,479 students over the same period.

Prospect Heights's spending in 2019-20 was 2.8 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
