Report: Ridgewood School District spent $20,579 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Ridgewood Community High School District 234 was up 9.1 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $18,869 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $20,579 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment fell from 856 to 848 students over the same period.

Ridgewood's spending in 2019-20 was 42 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
