Report: Northfield School District spent $23,669 per student in 2019-20

Spending per pupil at Northfield Township High School District 225 was up 3.6 percent from five years ago, according to the North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2019-20 report card showed the Cook County school district spent $22,845 per pupil in 2015-16. It spent $23,669 in 2019-20.

The district's enrollment rose from 5,078 to 5,200 students over the same period.

Northfield's spending in 2019-20 was 63.3 percent higher than the state average of $14,492.
