A-21-103 Resolution – 7B Tax Classification Request – 960 S Barrington Road

Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS FOR APPROVAL OF A CLASS 7B REAL ESTATE TAX INCENTIVE CLASSIFICATION FOR COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT OF PROPERTY OWNED BY DIEHL LLC AT 960 S. BARRINGTON ROAD IN THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.”

This Resolution supports an application to Cook County to consider a 7B Tax Reclassification for a vacant commercial property at 960 S Barrington Road.

A-21-104 Resolution – 6B Tax Classification Request – 1448 Yorkshire Drive

Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE APPROPRIATENESS FOR RENEWAL OF CLASS 6B INCENTIVE BY RAAJRANTA STAINLESS WIRE (USA), INC. FOR THE 10,000 SQUARE FEET OF BUILDING CONSISTING OF OFFICE SPACE, CLEAN ROOM AND WAREHOUSE AT 1448 YORKSHIRE DRIVE IN THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.”

This Resolution supports an application to Cook County to consider a 6B Tax Classification renewal for an industrial property at 1448 Yorkshire Drive.

A-21-105 Resolution - Intergovernmental Agreement with Cook County for Health Inspection Services

Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT TO EXECUTE ON BEHALF OF THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH COOK COUNTY FOR HEALTH INSPECTION SERVICES.”

This Resolution supports an intergovernmental agreement with Cook County for Health Inspection Services.

A-21-106 Ordinance – Approval of 2021 Property Tax Levy

Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE LEVYING AND ASSESSING THE TAXES OF THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2021 AND ENDING ON DECEMBER 31, 2021.” This Ordinance is being presented for first reading and posting.

This Ordinance levies $12,797,960 in property taxes for general government, debt service, and pension purposes, which represents a 0% increase in the tax levy from the 2020 tax extension. A public hearing was held on November 18, 2021 to thoroughly review the levy.

This Ordinance levies a supplemental property tax of $165,596 for the twenty-eight Village Special Service Areas. A-21-109 Ordinance – Approval of 2022 Operating and Capital Budget

Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE 2022 OPERATING AND CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET FOR THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.” This Ordinance is being presented for first reading and posting.

This Ordinance approves the Village's 2022 Operating and Capital Improvements Budget. The Village Board held a series of public workshop sessions, and a public hearing was held on November 18, 2021, to thoroughly review the spending plan.

A-21-110 Ordinance – 2022-2023 Water and Sewer Rates

Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUBSECTION “A” OF SECTION 8-3-4-1 OF CHAPTER 3, ENTITLED “WATERWORKS AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM REGULATIONS,” OF TITLE 8, ENTITLED “PUBLIC WAYS AND PROPERTY,” OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.” This Ordinance is being presented for first reading and posting.

This Ordinance establishes the water and sewer rates for Village of Streamwood water customers, and affirms no rate increases for the next two years.

A-21-111 Resolution – Intergovernmental Agreement with State of Illinois Appropriating Funds for Improvements to the Intersection of Irving Park Road and Bartlett Road

Request the Board approve a Resolution entitled “A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF ILLINOIS AND THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE INTERSECTION OF IRVING PARK ROAD AND BARTLETT ROAD IN STREAMWOOD, ILLINOIS.”

This Resolution supports the appropriation of an estimated $1,062,022 of Village funds to replace the water main and to match the Federal and State funds for the Village’s share of the streetlights, sidewalk, pedestrian path, landscaping, and construction engineering for the Irving Park Road Section 10-0005-00-WR roadway intersection improvements.

I-21-002 Info Item – Thanksgiving Safety Campaign and Village Office Closures

The Streamwood Police Department is joining with the Illinois Department of Transportation, Illinois State Police and nearly 200 local police and sheriff’s departments to remind motorists to Click It or Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over throughout the Thanksgiving holiday.
