Suburban police are continuing their search for up to eight suspects in connection with a theft at a Louis Vuitton store at the Northbrook Court Mall, where the thieves made off with around $66,000 in valuables.
“We are disheartened that this has happened to one of the retailers,” mall owner Brookfield Properties told WGN 9. “Regarding the mall security program, we are constantly evaluating our layer of safety protocols but never publicly discuss our initiatives.”
According to police, the thieves, who were long gone by the time police arrived at the scene on the evening of Oct.5, made off with bags and luggage, fleeing in a black Kia sedan and a gray SUV.
The suspects were captured on cellphone video fleeing the store.
