A-21-073 Ordinance – Approval of Special Use For Sale of Packaged Alcoholic Beverages / 1062 E. Schaumburg Road / 7-Eleven

Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW FOR THE SALE OF PACKAGED ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES FOR OFF-PREMISE CONSUMPTION IN A C-2 COMMERCIAL DISTRICT 1062 E. SCHAUMBURG ROAD.” This Ordinance is being presented for first reading and posting.

This Ordinance approves a Special Use Permit to allow the sale of packaged alcoholic beverages in a retail store in a C-2 Commercial Shopping District at 1062 E. Schaumburg Road.

A-21-074 Ordinance – Approval of Zoning Variance / 14 Bayberry Court

Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE GRANTING VARIATION IN AN R-3 PUD SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT TO PERMIT A THREE-SEASON ROOM ADDITION TO BE CONSTRUCTED ON THE REAR OF THE EXISTING STRUCTURE

TO ENCROACH EIGHT FEET INTO A REQUIRED REAR YARD SETBACK PURSUANT TO TITLE 11, SECTION 11-5.4-6(C)(6) OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF STREAMWOOD, COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS.” This Ordinance is being presented for first reading and posting.

This Ordinance grants a variation to permit a rear yard three-season room addition to encroach eight (8) feet into a required rear yard setback at 14 Bayberry Court.

A-21-075 Ordinance - PUD Amendment / Westview Center III – 1098 S. Barrington Road

Request the Board approve an Ordinance entitled “AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN ELEVENTH AMENDMENT TO AN EXISTING PLANNED DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT TO MODIFY THE PARKING LOT AND REMOVE THE DECORATIVE BELL TOWER IN THE WESTVIEW CENTER III SUBDIVISION 800 TO 1098 S. BARRINGTON ROAD.” This Ordinance is being presented for first reading and posting.

This Ordinance approves an amendment to an existing agreement to add spaces and reconfigure parking and improve visibility at the Westview Shopping Center.

I-21-001 Information Item – Blood Drive 

A blood donation truly is a “gift of life” that a healthy individual can give to others in their community. The Streamwood Blood Commission and Vitalant will host a blood drive Wednesday, August 25 from 1:00 – 7:00 pm at the Police Station (401 E. Irving Park Road). Registrations are encouraged.

PUBLIC SAFETY – Trustee Schmidt/Trustee Harper

I-21-002 Information Item – Back to School Safety

District U-46 will open its doors for the 2021-22 school year on Monday, August 16. Please remember to drive slower and use extra caution when school children are present. Please also remember that cell phone usage is prohibited while driving. Police Officers will be enforcing these regulations.

I-21-003 Information Item – Roadwork Update

The 2021 Road Program continues to make progress. Millwork has begun on Sunnydale, Romajean and South Park Avenue. These projects will be completed prior to the start of school. Unfortunately, the Schaumburg Road rehabilitation project has been delayed. We continue to work with Cook County to move this project forward. The Village has been awarded $2,000,000 through the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program for the Route 59 Bridge. Work continues on the bridge type, size and location details for approval by IDOT.

LEGISLATIVE – Trustee Haque/Trustee Schmidt

A-21-077 Motion – Waiver of Locational Restrictions / 7 W Streamwood Blvd / Chicago Loop

Request the Board approve a Motion to renew the Waiver of Locational Restrictions to permit live entertainment at an existing restaurant bar with the service of alcoholic beverages for The Chicago Loop, 7 W. Streamwood Blvd.

This Motion renews the Waiver of Locational Restrictions for live entertainment for The Chicago Loop. The Chicago Loop was originally granted a waiver of locational restrictions in 2001, but it must be renewed every year.
