Evanston-Skokie Community Consolidated School District 65 issued the following announcement on Apr 22.
Dear District 65 Community -
As we work to create a better and more equitable District 65, we are seeking feedback from educators, administrators, and parents/caregivers that will inform a thorough audit of our curriculum. This is part of a multi-faceted approach to short and long-term planning for the future of our public schools in Evanston/Skokie.
The process is being conducted by an independent auditing firm, Curriculum Management Solutions, Inc. (CMSI). While we know we have asked for your time in completing surveys on several occasions this year, we are grateful for your continued feedback and believe that it is critical in guiding the work of program evaluation and strategic planning. An audit transcends most single events or occurrences that are happening at any given point and instead seeks to gather information on processes that are in place.
The survey will take approximately 15-20 minutes to complete and asks questions about areas of strength and improvement in the district, accessibility of curriculum, level of communication between school and home, use of technology, student supports, skills for success, and more. Survey responses are completely confidential and will not be connected to any individual. Responses will be aggregated into a general report and used for strategic planning purposes.
In order to capture the most holistic view of our curriculum, and in keeping with the objectives of the audit, we are encouraging all educators, administrators, and parents/caregivers to complete the survey. The survey will close on Sunday, May 2, at midnight. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
