CITY OF DES PLAINES: National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

City of Des Plaines issued the following announcement on Apr 13.

Save-the-Date for National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 24th, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. 

The Des Plaines Police Department encourages the public to drop-off old, or unwanted prescription drugs at its 24/7 collection site located in the Department's lobby at 1418 Miner Street. 

During last October's National Take Back Day, collection boxes were put to good use. In one day alone, over 492 TONS of unused and expired medicines were dropped off for safe and proper disposal in the US.
