Village of Streamwood Board of Trustees Met March 18.

CALL TO ORDER

President Roth called the Workshop to order at 8:14 p.m.

All those answering “present” were physically present at the meeting.

Also present: Village Manager Sharon Caddigan; Village Attorney Tom Bastian; Community Development Director John Peterson; IT Director Victor Ambroziak; Computer Systems Coordinator Joe Ritter; Finance Director Josh Peacock; Fire Chief Chris Clark; Police Chief Daryl Syre; and Public Works Director Matt Mann.

The Village Board is meeting for a Workshop with staff to review the status of 2021 Goals and Objectives. Community Development Director John Peterson gave an overview of commercial property updates as well as business improvements in the Village. Finance Director Josh Peacock provided a financial update in addition to developments on a water rate study and the impact of current legislation including the American Rescue Plan. Fire Chief Chris Clark provided an overview of COVID management and procedures as well as an update on the construction progress of Fire Station #31. IT Director Victor Ambroziak gave a status update on the Office 365, EnerGov, and ExecuTime projects. Police Chief Daryl Syre discussed staffing within the Police Department and the potential impact of recently passed State of Illinois legislation. Public Works Director Matt Mann discussed the road program, construction projects including improvements to the Public Works facility, and positive feedback received from the Public Forum on the new Route 59 Pedestrian Bridge.

Community Development Director John Peterson then gave a short presentation regarding a location for a Community Events Sign. After further discussion, the Village Board reached on consensus on the style (Village logo only) and that a sign be located near Irving Park Road in front of Village Hall that included a 10mm pixel (high resolution) digital sign.

ADJOURNMENT

Trustee Baumer moved to adjourn the Workshop. Trustee Cecille seconded the motion. A voice vote approved the adjournment. The Board adjourned the Workshop at 9:10 p.m.
