ARLINGTON HEIGHTS PARK DISTRICT: Annual Tree Lighting - 2020 Virtual Event

Christmas3

Arlington Heights Park District issued the following announcement on Nov. 24.

This year’s Tree Lighting ceremony will not be held in-person because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Village’s Special Events Commission as well as staffs of the Park District and Village have worked together to bring our residents a virtual production that features behind-the-scene footage along with a virtual tour of the lights and decorations of North School Park and the Downtown. The John Hersey High School Dickens Carolers are sure to put a smile on your face as they sing a few of your favorite holiday songs. The Arlington Heights Park District Vibe Dancers are sure to get your toes tapping to the holiday spirit. Listen to the holiday wishes from Laurie Mitchell from the Village's Special Events Commission, Maryfran Leno the Arlington Heights Park District Park Board President, and Mayor Thomas Hayes.

This virtual ceremony started airing on Tuesday November 24, at 4:30 pm on the Village of Arlington Heights cable access channels, Park District web site and social media channels. It will be available on our web site or the whole holiday season.
