City of Prospect Heights City Council met April 27.

Here is the minutes provided by the council:

CALL TO ORDER – At 6:15 PM, Mayor Nicholas J. Helmer called to order the Budget Hearing Teleconference Meeting held on the Zoom platform. Deputy Clerk Schultheis read the preamble to the meeting

ROLL CALL - City Clerk Prisiajniouk called roll. A quorum was present. 

ELECTED OFFICIALS PRESENT - Mayor Helmer, Treasurer Tibbits, City Clerk Prisiajniouk, Aldermen - Dolick, Ludvigsen, Cameron, Morgan-Adams, Quinn 

OTHER OFFICIALS PRESENT – City Administrator Wade, Assistant City Administrator Falcone, City Attorney O'Driscoll, Deputy Clerk Schultheis, Finance Director Graefen, Digital Telecommunications technician Colvin, Public Works Director Roscoe, Director of Building and Development Peterson, Police Chief Zawlocki.

COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC - None

MOTION TO OPEN PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE FY2020-21 BUDGET - At 6:19 PM, Alderman Morgan-Adams moved to Open the Public Hearing Regarding the FY 2020/21 Budget; seconded by Alderman Dolick. There was unanimous approval. 

ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES - Quinn, Cameron, Dolick, Morgan-Adams, Ludvigsen

NAYS - None

ABSENT - None Motion carried 5 - 0

MAYOR'S STATEMENT:

a. Purpose of the Public Hearing is receiving comments from the public on the proposed Budget. 

b. Budget was prepared in tentative form and made conveniently available to the public for at least 10 days prior to tonight's hearing. 

c. Notice of the hearing was published – Daily Herald, website, in the bulletin board, the Enews, the message board

d. The tentative Budget includes information about the City's anticipated receipts and expenditures for this fiscal year. Mayor Helmer discussed the background to the Meeting.

Finance Director Graefen said that there were no changes in the Budget since the last meeting.

PUBLIC COMMENT ABOUT THE BUDGET - There was no one on the line or previously registered to speak from the public.

COUNCIL COMMENT ABOUT THE BUDGET - None

MOTION TO CLOSE PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE FY2020-21 BUDGET - At 6:25 PM, Alderman Ludvigsen moved to close the Public hearing regarding the FY2020/21 Budget; seconded by Alderman Morgan-Adams. There was unanimous approval. 

ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES - Quinn, Cameron, Dolick, Morgan-Adams, Ludvigsen

NAYS - None

ABSENT - None Motion carried 5 - 0

MOTION TO ADJOURN MEETING - At 6:26 PM, Alderman Dolick moved to Adjourn the Budget Hearing; seconded by Alderman Cameron. There was unanimous approval. 

ROLL CALL VOTE: AYES - Quinn, Cameron, Dolick, Morgan-Adams, Ludvigsen

NAYS - None

ABSENT - None Motion carried 5 - 0
