Elgin (Cook County) home prices rise in May 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2019 in Elgin in Cook County rose by $10,000 while total sales increased by 29.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2019, there were 44 homes sold, with a median sale price of $177,250 - a 6% increase over the $167,250 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 34 homes sold in Elgin in May 2018.

The median sales tax in Elgin for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $4,355, approximately 2.5% of the median home sale price for May 2019.
