Evanston home prices fall in May 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in May 2019 in Evanston fell by $20,500 while total sales increased by 21.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In May 2019, there were 102 homes sold, with a median sale price of $326,500 - a 5.9% decrease over the $347,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 84 homes sold in Evanston in May 2018.

The median sales tax in Evanston for the most recent year with available data, 2018, was $7,141, approximately 2.2% of the median home sale price for May 2019.
