Northbrook Park District issued the following announcement on Aug. 21.

Cook something yummy, learn a new language or create a masterpiece this fall at the Northbrook Park District!

The District’s early childhood programs are designed to enrich the preschool experience through a variety of activities, including art, cooking, music, fitness, Spanish and science.

“At Sunshine Preschool, our philosophy is learning through play and exploration,” said Recreation Supervisor Nancy Eschker. “That philosophy extends to our early childhood classes and activities, which can be a great addition to your child’s learning and development. We offer a wide selection of choices that help build a foundation for social and creative growth.”

Parent-tot classes are available, along with classes children attend on their own, fostering independence and interaction with peers.

“Our enrichment programs allow preschoolers to extend their day—either adding an hour after class or starting an hour early with an enrichment program,” said Katie Kotloski, Recreation Division Manager. “Our staff will ensure students are escorted from one program to another.”

Upcoming programs include:

Kindermusik—Foundations and Level 2: Wiggles and Giggles

Parent-Tot Yoga

Parent-Tot Gymnastics

Little Chefs-Parent-Tot Cooking

Parent-Tot T-Ball

Parent-Tot Sing with Señora Spanish
