2018 Parolees Recap: Who was paroled in zip code 60202?

There were 12 offenders released on parole during 2018 that live near Illinois zip code 60202, according to Illinois Department of Corrections data obtained by North Cook News.

The data shows that the 12 released offenders living in the Evanston zip code were men. Of the parolees, one is a veteran, and the median age was 35. The youngest parolee was a 21-year-old man convicted of a crime involving one or more weapons in 2017, and the oldest was a 52-year-old man convicted of a property crime in 2018.

The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Thomas Malone. He was convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2013, when he was 47 years old. He is now 53.

Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
