The data shows that the eight released offenders living in the Elk Grove Village zip code were men. The median age of the parolees was 31. The youngest parolee was a 19-year-old man convicted of a crime involving drugs in 2016, and the oldest was a 41-year-old man convicted of a crime involving alcohol in 2017.
The offender who had been incarcerated the longest was Zachary Woelfel. He was convicted of a crime against a person in 2015, when he was 25 years old. He is now 29.
Under state law, paroled offenders are still in legal custody of the IDOC, meaning they can be taken back to a correctional center at any time if the state has probable cause or a warrant.
