Village of Glencoe recently issued the following announcement.
Drop-off Books at Village Hall through August 9
New Trier Township is working with the Village of Glencoe, Winnetka Presbyterian Church and Valerie Wilson Travel to collect 3,000 children’s books between Tuesday, July 9 and Friday, August 9.
The recipient of the collection is Bernie’s Book Bank https://www.berniesbookbank.org, a Lake Bluff based non-profit organization that sources, processes and distributes quality new and gently used children’s books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout Chicagoland.
Collection bins will be available at the following sites during normal business hours:
- Village of Glencoe, 675 Village Court
- New Trier Township, 739 Elm Street, Winnetka
- Winnetka Presbyterian Church, 1255 Willow Road, Winnetka
- Valerie Wilson Travel, 946 Green Bay, Winnetka
