Drop-off Books at Village Hall through August 9

New Trier Township is working with the Village of Glencoe, Winnetka Presbyterian Church and Valerie Wilson Travel to collect 3,000 children’s books between Tuesday, July 9 and Friday, August 9.

The recipient of the collection is Bernie’s Book Bank, a Lake Bluff based non-profit organization that sources, processes and distributes quality new and gently used children’s books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout Chicagoland.

Collection bins will be available at the following sites during normal business hours:

  • Village of Glencoe, 675 Village Court
  • New Trier Township, 739 Elm Street,  Winnetka
  • Winnetka Presbyterian Church, 1255 Willow Road, Winnetka
  • Valerie Wilson Travel,  946 Green Bay, Winnetka
Any residents, community groups or local businesses interested in helping with the collection are encouraged to contact Jack Macholl, for more information on the program.
