Q1 2019 Legislation: Sen. Ann Gillespie sponsors or co-sponsors 53 bills

Sen. Ann Gillespie (D-27) sponsored eight bills in the first quarter of 2019, 33 less than the average Illinois state senator, and was added as a co-sponsor on 45 bills, two more than the average, according to a North Cook News analysis of data made available by the Illinois General Assembly.

During the first quarter, 59 senators sponsored legislation, with Sen. John J. Cullerton (D-6) sponsoring the most with 626 bills. There were 59 senators that co-sponsored legislation, with Sen. Laura M. Murphy (D-28) co-sponsoring 154 bills, more than any other senator.
