Illinois General Assembly: HR196 Resolution Adopted

The following action was taken on May 16 in the House on House bill HR196 ("adolescent immunization week"): "Resolution Adopted."

The bill, as it was introduced in the House by Rep. Robyn Gabel (D-18) on March 14, "declares the week of August 5, 2019 as "Adolescent Immunization Week" in Illinois to increase public awareness of the importance of preteens and adolescents receiving vaccines against meningococcal disease, human papillomavirus, influenza, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, measles, mumps, and rubella, and to promote outreach and education efforts concerning vaccination," according to the General Assembly website.
