Analysis: Arlington Heights administrators rank 251st in state for average pay

Administrators in Arlington Heights School District 25 earn an average of $108,893 per year, ranking 251st out of 864 districts in the state, according to a North Cook News analysis of the latest Illinois schools report card.

The 2018 average is 0.7% lower than in 2014 and 0.9% lower than in 2009. District administrators make 1.5% more than the state average of $107,279.

Administrator salaries depend on the district's size, location and resources, as well as the individual's level of experience and education, according to the Illinois State Board of Education report.

The Cook County school district enrolled 5588 students in 2017-18. There is an average of 167 students for every administrator, compared to a statewide ratio of 181 to 1.
