Report: Northbrook spent $19,259 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Northbrook School District 28 is up 2.2 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $18,849 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $19,259 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 1683 to 1800.

Northbrook's spending in 2017-18 was 44.4 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
