Report: Niles Township spent $30,257 per student in 2017-18

Spending per pupil at Niles Township Community High School District 219 is up 35.3 percent from five years ago, according to a North Cook News analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2017-18 report card shows the Cook County school district spent $22,361 per pupil in 2013-14. It spent $30,257 in 2017-18.

The district saw its enrollment fall over the same period, from 4841 to 4594.

Niles Township's spending in 2017-18 was 126.9 percent higher than the state average of $13,337.
