Judson University men’s soccer players Luis Germano and Niko Mihalopoulos are piling up the postseason awards in their first seasons at the school.
Germano, who finished the season with a team-leading 18 goals and 44 points, was named First Team NCCAA All-American, NAIA honorable mention and United Soccer Coaches All-American.
The 5-foot-10, 176-pound freshmen was also named Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Freshmen of the Year and NCCAA North-Central Region Player of the Year.
Mihalopoulos, a junior transfer from the University of Illinois-Chicago who finished second on the team with 12 goals, was named third-team NCCAA All-American and as a member of the NCCAA North Central Region Team.
"It has been great to see that Germano and Niko keep adding awards to their amazing first years at Judson, and I am sure it is also a consequence of having a great team behind them to support," Judson coach Rafa Heck said, according to the school’s website. "They both have worked hard this year, and I am excited to see what the future holds for them moving forward."
