The 1972 Niles West football team and eight individuals were recently enshrined as part of the school’s 2018 Hall of Fame Class.
On the school's Facebook page, new inductees George Kontos (2003) Baseball; Alisa Kusolvisitkul (2003) Girls Cross Country/Track and Field; Bill Mitz (1972) Football; Blake Lorenz (1973) Baseball; Judy Banathy Flaherty (1982) Girls Basketball; Robert Casey (1974) Boys Soccer/Track and Field and Joe Brennan (Coach) Boys and Girls Soccer were all recently feted.
All of the members of the 1972 football team and Dr. Nicholas Mannos were also recognized with the school’s Distinguished Service Award.
The fifth Niles West Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony was held on Oct. 11 in Skokie as part of homecoming week activities where the football team faced off against neighborhood rival Niles North.
