Glenview state House candidate Jennifer Gong-Gershowitz received another $331,559 from Illinois House Speaker and Democrat Party Chief Michael Madigan (D-Chicago) between Sept. 29 and Oct. 17, state filings show.

The Madigan funding was disclosed in reports filed with the Illinois State Board of Elections (ISBE) by Friends for Jennifer, the campaign committee that supports Gong-Gershowitz’s race against Republican Peter Lee in the 17th District.

The district covers all or part of Evanston, Glenview, Golf, Morton Grove, Northbrook, Skokie and Wilmette.

Madigan’s contributions to Gong-Gershowitz came from the campaign funds he controls, including his own committee, Friends of Michael J. Madigan, the Illinois Democratic Party and the Democratic County Chairman’s Association of Illinois. In all, Madigan has contributed $482,830 to the candidate’s campaign.

From Sept. 29 to Oct. 17,  Madigan spent $4.37 million backing campaigns for 25 candidates.
