Evanston Township High School District 202 issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.

ETHS employees Sue Dunmore (Curriculum & Instruction), Stacey Moragne (Special Education Department), and Peter Naughton (Instructional & Informational Technology) received the 2018-19 Guillebeaux-Arceneaux Spirit Award at Evanston Township High School District 202.

Described as someone who “embodies the selflessness and compassion”, Dunmore was recognized as being a reflective listener who employs a solution-oriented approach to student schedules. Moragne was commended for his reliability and for demonstrating a calm demeanor every day with students. Naughton was praised for his tireless efforts to prioritize the needs of each ETHS customer and for his dedication to making personal connections with colleagues.

Award recipients were chosen by the Spirit Award Selection Committee from a larger group of nominations written by fellow employees. This award program is an ETHS tradition, where staff celebrate the work and dedicated spirit of support staff in the high school. The award recognizes the spirit of dedication to all ETHS students, loyalty and support for colleagues, and commitment to family and community, values expressed and reflected by the lives of former ETHS employees, Ernestine Guillebeaux and Sharon Arceneaux.
