Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting – September 12, 2018 Items also on Council Agenda

A. Consideration of Renewal of Liability, Crime and Workers’ Compensation Insurance Programs for the Period October 1, 2018 through September 30, 2019 ($797,339)

Objective: Protect the City’s financial resources and provide liability, crime and workers’ compensation insurance.

B. Consideration of Engineering Agreement with HR Green Inc. for Drainage Study at 1465 Royal Boulevard ($36,682)

Objective: Investigate existing drainage conditions and provide potential alternatives to reduce or alleviate flooding at the intersection of Royal Boulevard and Adeline Avenue.

C. Consideration of Illinois Department of Transportation Sustained Traffic Enforcement Program Grant for Occupant Protection and Impaired Driving Enforcement ($116,208)

Objective: Partner with the Illinois Department of Transportation to continue to provide safer roadways through occupant protection and impaired driving enforcement.

D. Elgin Area Convention and Visitors Bureau Presentation

Krisilee Murphy, Executive Director of the Elgin Area Convention and Visitors Bureau, will present the 2018-19 marketing plan.

E. Public Hearing and Consideration of Naming of the “Edward Schock Centre of Elgin” ($25,000)

Objective: Rename the “Centre of Elgin” to the “Edward Schock Centre of Elgin” to honor Edward Schock’s leadership and extraordinary commitment to the community.

F. Consideration of Ride in Kane Program with Pace ($50,000)

Objective: Fund the City’s 2018 contribution for the Ride in Kane Program in partnership with Pace.
