Republican candidate Ammie Kessem is planning to knock on more than 2,000 doors in a final campaign push before Election Day.
Kessem, who is challenging Rep. Robert Martwick (D-Chicago) for the 19th House District seat in November’s general election, recently posted on Facebook asking supporters to join the campaign on Oct. 27 for a ‘Blitz Norwood Park Township.’
Several candidates are invited to the event, including Illinois State Treasurer candidate Jim Dodge and candidate for Illinois Attorney General Erika Harold.

Organizers plan to canvass 2,500 homes over three hours in Northwest Chicago to garner support for Kessem and other Republican candidates.
The 19th District includes Elmwood Park, Harwood Heights, Norridge and River Grove in Chicago.
