Northbrook School District 28 issued the following announcement on Sept. 6.
The members of the 2018-19 Executive Board of the District 28 PTO Council held their first meeting of the year on Sept. 4. But the work of the PTO Council never really stops. The PTO Council brings parents the paper calendar and the student directory App.
Planning is already underway for a district-wide parent’s night out on January 26, 2019.
Soon, work will begin to organize the HOH 5K Scholarship Run on May 4, 2019. In addition, there are two Gift Card Plus fundraising drives to raise money for programming.
The PTO Council represents the entire district. The executive council oversees fundraising that is used for a semi-annual all-student assembly on an Institute Day. The HOH5K raises money for college scholarships awarded each year to NBJH alumni who are graduating from high school.
The PTO Council meets at 9 a.m. on the first Tuesday of the month in the District Office HOH Community Room. The meetings are open to everyone.
The meetings are also an opportunity for each school PTO to share information on activities and events.
The PTO Council helps all the school PTOs run smoothly, share resources and ideas.
Thanks, volunteers for all you do to support students, teachers and the family/school relationship!
