Arlington Heights Park District issued the following announcement on Aug. 31.
On August 28th, representatives from the Arlington Heights Park District, FGM Architects, and Village Officials gathered on the soccer field to break ground on what will become a bold new recreation center situated at the corner of Euclid and Ridge Avenues.
Park Board President Maryfran Leno welcomed guests, including neighbors, Village officials, Park Foundation members, and Tom Rooney, State Senator 27th District, who shared fond memories of his late wife who was an avid swimmer at the Olympic Indoor Swim Center as a youngster.
Guests were treated to Italian ice provided by Big Ange’s, and poured over conceptual drawings of the new building which is scheduled to be completed in Spring of 2020. Click to learn more about this exciting project.
